SOUTHERN BELLE COSTUME

The southern people are known for their glamor since time immemorial. They are so articulate about costume design, especially for the Belle bambina participants. Derived from the period of Southern Antebellum, the historic child costume incorporates a dress, tie and hat, all rhymed together to form a perfect costume. The dress is a Southern Belle type designed with a pair of ruffle sleeves that flows seamlessly from a matching ruffle neck. Then the dress breaks into two at the breast line with a midriff tie, green in color. At the back, the dress features a Velcro closure, easy to zip up even for a child. This is matched with an exotic traditional Southern-fashion hat. This picture-frame hat is not your ordinary hat. It includes a matching ribbon-like tie, all the way round. To give the outfit a neat finish, the dress then gradually melts into a hooped bottom. The bottom has hoops attached underneath, to give a wide reaching girth for the child.

For toddlers, the historic Southern costume comes in sizes 1T up to 2T for those in the weight bracket of 27 to 30 lbs, and sizes 3T up to 4T for those in the weight bracket of 34 to 38 lbs. For small children, the costume comes in sizes 4 up to 6X for those in the weight bracket of 39 to 59 lbs.
